Overview:
When we think of the things that we have done wrong it is easy to feel like some of those mistakes will be with us forever. But God promises that when we confess our sins to him he not only forgives us but he makes it as though those sins never happened.
Isaiah 43:25 says “I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.”
Spend a moment thinking about anything that you would like to confess to God this morning.
(Pause for a while)
On your tables you will find some tubs of bubbles in a moment I’m going to ask you to take a tub and to let everyone on your table take a turn at blowing some bubbles. The bubbles, just like the mistakes that we make, come in various shapes and sizes but once they pop they are gone forever – just like they things that we have done wrong when God has forgiven us.
(Let people blow bubbles – this can be quite chaotic so make sure that you’ve collected the bubbles in before you attempt to close with a prayer)
Wrap things up with a short prayer thanking God for his love and forgiveness.
