This station originally followed the talk “The Rich Young Ruler” but could easily be adapted to other talks about valuing God above everything else.
Resources Needed:
You’ll need to make sure you have enough of each for every table to have their own pile of resources.
- Card
- Scissors
- Glue
- Gold & silver paper/tissue paper foil
Activity:
Invite each table to make a pile of coins from the resources that they have been given, encouraging them to be as creative as they can be in designing their own coins.
Once everyone has finished ask people to pick up one or two coins and to think of something that is important to them and that could easily take God’s place.
Invite people to take those coins away with them, keeping them in their pocket or purse as a reminder to choose to put God first.
Remind people that this isn’t an easy thing but that Jesus said “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God” Mark 10:27
