It will need preparing at least a day or so in advance of Easter Sunday.
Resources Needed:
- Water Balloons
- PVA Glue
- Scissors
- Thin wool (different colours)
- Mini Chocolate Eggs
Printed Instructions
John 3:16 (NLT) printed for as many eggs as you need, cut up small and rolled up)
Preparation:
Add two or three chocolate mini eggs and the rolled up bible verse into the balloon. Blow the balloon up part way, until it is egg shaped, and then tie it shut.
Mix equal parts of glue and water in a shallow container.
Hold a strand of wool by one end, dip it into the glue mixture then wrap it around the balloon. Repeat this process with different colour strands, randomly overlapping them and tucking in the loose ends until the balloon is evenly covered. Leave to dry.
Once the egg is completely dry use a pin to burst the balloon and carefully pull it away. It should end up looking something like this:
