“Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”
In one verse, our passage talks about how most people serve their best wine at the beginning of an evening (in an effort to impress) but thanks to Jesus, at this party, the best wine is served later: a real symbol of generosity and abundance.
What have been the best moments in your life – moments that were fun, satisfying, meaningful and/or inspiring?
Do you sometimes feel like the best things are behind you now?
Or do you feel like things have been really hard for a long time?
Jesus’ miracle illustrated that God can create even brighter, more exciting and fulfilling futures for us.
Pray for the right attitude to appreciate this truth in your life and maybe spend some time asking and thanking God for great times to come.
