In today’s reading Jesus asks a simple question to Bartimaeus, “What do you want me to do for you?”
Bartimaeus knew exactly what he wanted from Jesus, “I want to see.”

Sight, for Bartimaeus meant being able to see but also in his society it meant independence and acceptance.

Perhaps Jesus asks us the same question today, “What do you want me to do for you?” What is your answer?
What are the things that you are most desperate for?

Light a candle as a sign of bringing your hidden longings into Jesus’ light.

If you are going to offer prayer for individuals include the following text:

If you would like someone to pray for you, do ask one of the prayer team. You can share as much or as little about your prayer requests as you want.
