Community

This station follows the talk “Fish And Chips

Resources needed:

  • Large roll of paper
  • Pens/Felt tips
  • Coloured paints
  • Wet wipes/Paper towels (for cleaning up afterwards!)

Preparation:

This station invites people to think and pray about being part of their church community.

You’ll need to draw a large outline of something that is a symbol of your community on the large roll of paper. We used an outline of the Zone2 logo. If you don’t have a logo, you could easily adapt it to be an outline of your church building for example. The space inside the outline needs to be big enough for all of your congregation to add their fingerprints inside. Make sure to leave plenty of space for people to add their own prayers (see below) and add a couple of example prayers around the outside to help people understand what you’re asking them to do.

Printed Instructions:

One of the most exciting things about the disciples in Acts 2 was the way in which they were committed to each other as a community. They looked out for one other and prayed together on a daily basis. They were united by a love for Jesus.

Add one of your fingerprints to the image on the page as a reminder that each of us are part of something bigger than ourselves, we’re part of one community united by a love for Jesus.

In the space around the image write a short prayer for this community. You might want to pray for a specific person who is going through a difficult time or pray that we would continue to grow together as a community, drawing other people in as the see our love for each other and for Jesus.
