This station was used after the talk “Jesus And The Rich Young Man”
Items needed:
- A4 Paper
- Coloured pens/pencils/felt tips
- Printed instructions
Overview:
This station is aimed at people of all ages. The aim is to encourage people to think about what it means to come to God empty handed. Make sure you have a couple of examples out for people to look at.
If you want to make this more fun for your younger children you could always offer the option of doing hand prints with paint as well as or instead of drawing around the hand.
Instructions:
The rich young man in today’s passage was unable to follow Jesus as he couldn’t let go of some of the things that were holding him back.
Draw around your hand on a piece of paper.
Write a prayer in the space around your hand asking God to help you to come to him empty handed, letting go of anything that might hold you back.
