- Printed instructions and questions (either on paper or PowerPoint presentation – see below)
Overview:
This station is a reflective one that could be done in a number of ways. For example
- A table set out with questions spread out around the table or stuck to the walls around it
- Create a chill out space with cushions/beanbags etc
- A PowerPoint loop with the instructions and the questions on it.
Instructions:
Jesus asked lots of questions throughout his ministry – questions that challenged and inspired people.
Are you willing to allow those questions to challenge and inspire you today?
If so spend a few minutes reading through some of the questions that Jesus asked in the Gospels.
Which ones challenge you the most? What will your response be?
Questions:
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?
“And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? Matthew 6:25-30 (NLT)
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.” Then he asked

Then Jesus went to work on his disciples. “Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self. What kind of deal is it to get everything you want but lose yourself? What could you ever trade your soul for? Matt 16:24-26 (MSG)

“And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye?” Matt 7:3-4 (NLT)
