Overview:
Print the following verse and instructions:
“Oh, how my soul praises the Lord. How my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour.” Luke 1:46-7
The word Magnificat comes from the first line of this passage – “My soul magnifies the Lord” is one translation. Mary’s heart was full of joy at what God had done for her and she wanted everyone to know it.
What has God done for you that you soul wants to magnify him? What things has he done that make you want to praise him?
Spend a few minutes writing your own magnificat. It can be in the form of a poem, a letter or just a word map of things that you want praise God for!
