Wonderfully Made

Resources Needed:

  • Cut out paper people
  • Pens/felt tips

Overview:

Read the following verses from Psalm 139:13-16:

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Explain that the Psalm encourages us to praise God for the way he has made us. Give everyone a paper person.

Invite them to decorate it with things they are willing to praise God for about themselves. They can write words idf they prefer.

Ask everyone to then write the words “wonderfully made” on their back of their paper person.

Close with a prayer of thanks for God’s creative work in each of us.
