Instructions:

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them to your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:4-9

When Jesus was asked which was the most important commandment he replied by quoting Deuteronomy 6: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength” and added “Love your neighbour as yourself”

What would it look like to truly take this to heart? How might we change?

If you would like to remiond yourself to “Love the Lord your God” and “Love others as you love yourself” write the verses on one of the strips of paper and use the tape to make a wristband to remind you of your commitment for the rest of the day.

You could write it on more strips to pin above a doorway at home, to use as a bookmark in a book you are reading, to stick on your car dashboard, etc.
