New Life

Resources Needed:

  • Roll of paper
  • Sellotape (for sticking the paper down)
  • Pens
  • Printed materials.

Lay out a roll of paper across a table so that the whole table top is covered. Print a selection of pictures of babies in work related fancy dress, (google: baby firefighters, baby doctors, baby policewomen, baby lawyers etc) and the text above.
Stick them around the paper leaving plenty of space for people to write a prayer. Write an example prayer on the sheet. You can add the bible verses below too if you like.

Printed Instructions:

One of the most exciting things that can happen to any couple is the arrival of a new baby. New parents get excited about their baby. But if they stopped being excited after the first few days and never made plans for what he or she would grow up to become you’d be a bit surprised. The birth of a baby is an exciting thing but it is just the beginning of a new life full of all sorts of possibilities.

In the same way if we get too focused on the moment of becoming a Christian we can lose sight of the exciting possibilities that lie ahead of us.

Take some time to ask what God has planned for you. Think about what you would like to achieve with your new life and then write a prayer to ask God to help you to do it!
